Village Historique Acadien
A remarkably authentic historical site, which to portray the lives of Acadians between 1770 and 1939. More than 40 buildings are staffed by interpreters in period costumes who bring ancestral customs and traditional trades back to life. Visit the Chateau Albert - a replica of the hotel that was located next to the Hotel Paulin in the early 1900's.
Shippagan
See the parade of vessels as they moor and cast off from the surrounding wharves. And with boats painted bright reds, greens and blues, there's no end to the colourful character of this seaside town.
Theatre
Take in the on-stage antics of the Théâtre populaire d'Acadie, which since 1974, and throughout the summer offers French professional theatre at the Boîte-Théâtre.
